Poem Analysis

Title

The title of this poem is Found. A poem about a girl who lost herself and eventually found it again.

Speaker

The speaker of this poem is the girl in the poem in first person point of view, the author herself Charm C.

Mood: Anxious, and roller coaster. 

Tone: Sad, relaxed, and relieved. Although the poem may start at a monotone and uncolored point of view of the speaker it can still leave inspiration to the readers upon finishing the poem, that is when you feel down you will be able to reclaim yourself again.

Paraphrasing (every stanza has one paragraph, or sentence counterpart)

1^st. The person asked if she needs to be happy because she had reached epiphany. I thought of her asking because of a stereotype in life that once you have been happy, a day or two it will be downpour of darkness again.

2^nd. She said how she was trying to catch up after being left out by the situation.

3^rd. Being strong with a tight grip, she is still vulnerable as she is; confused and fighting alone.

4^th. Hatred began to fill her thoughts may it be to herself or the situation. She was confused whether to keep it going or no. Frustration, and confusion build up inside her.

5^th. She is starting to stand up and continue going. Finally, she found her peace, she found herself at ease.

6^th. As she was recovering, she started to find joy in her once so dark paced life. This is when she said that she is her the one who is so strong to win life’s challenges.

7^th. Now that she is making her progress and starting to accept her flaws, because although she is in mess, her flaws, and imperfections made her the person she is now.  She embraced herself for who she is and started to live without other’s validation. That is why she is at peace, at ease.

8^th. Now that she has accepted herself. She knew that although she was once a mess she still tried to stand, try, and succeed, now that chapter of her life has come to an end and she is ready to open a new one and start it with a better “she”. All of this thanks to her faith in him.
